Diagnosis
His PSA is still rising despite the radiation. They are now talking Hormone Therapy. Though I see Hormone Therapy as a way to "keep" my husband around, I also see the down side of it. As we were told Hormone Therapy only lasts for so long and only postpones the cancer from growing. My husband does not find this a solution as the symptoms are not in his favor.
I took it upon myself to make an appointment with an Oncologist. We have not seen an "Oncologist" as of yet. We have seen the Urologist, the Radiologist/Oncologist, etc but not an "Oncologist". I would have to say that after that appointment my husbands attitude has improved a little. We are now looking into other treatment options. There are a lot of trials and clinicals that may be an option before going the Hormone Therapy route.
