Building the Future of Cancer Care
A cancer diagnosis changes your life. That’s why we’re changing the future of cancer care. Slated for completion in 2016, Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health South Florida will house all of our cancer services under one roof. The facility will offer 305,000-square-feet of clinical services and cutting-edge technology. A 140,000-square-foot research facility will provide access to clinical trials and ground-breaking treatments. Designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, the Cancer Institute will offer diagnosis, treatment, research trials and follow-up care at one state-of-the-art location.

A milestone for Miami, the $430 million facility will be the first in South Florida – and one of the few in the nation – to offer proton therapy. This innovative treatment targets cancer cells with pinpoint precision, avoiding healthy tissue. For the first time, patients in South Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean will have convenient access to proton therapy.

It will also encompass Baptist Health Breast Center and pediatric cancer services. To streamline cancer care, Miami Cancer Institute will connect with Baptist Hospital’s new inpatient floor designed especially for cancer patients.

Making Miami an international center for world-class cancer care is the big picture plan, but we’ll never lose sight of the patients and families who deserve a healthy future.
