Walking Miracles believes that connecting families with a network of professionals, services, businesses and resources tohelp them reduce the cost of cancer care while they focus on taking care of their children, adolescents, young adults and childhood cancer survivors. This type of service can have a huge impact on relieving stress and helps the overall recovery and quality of life for both the family and the patient. We will use trained patient navigators who will guide our families and patients and get them the connections and resources they need to make their cancer journey a seamless process. We are currently working with social workers and nurses in the children's hospitals in WV, and in the following referral cities for our WV patients. Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland in Ohio, Philadelphia and Pittsburg in Pennsylvania, Lexington in Kentucky and Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY. We have created a network of professionals, services and businesses to help the patients who are being treated at a distance.
