Community Health Needs Assessments and Implementation Strategies

University Hospitals’ long-standing commitment to the community spans more than 150 years. This commitment has grown and evolved through significant thought and care in considering our community’s most pressing health needs. One way we do this is by conducting a periodic, comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for each UH hospital facility. The most current assessments were completed by an external health care consulting service working with UH and include quantitative and qualitative data that serve to guide both our community benefit and strategic planning.

Through our CHNAs, UH has identified the greatest health needs among each of our hospital’s communities, enabling UH to ensure our resources are appropriately directed toward outreach, prevention, education and wellness opportunities where the greatest impact can be realized.

If you would like to submit written comments, questions or other feedback about the UH CHNAs or implementation plans, please send your request to CommunityBenefit@UHhospitals.org. Please make sure to include the name of the UH facility that you are commenting about and, if possible, a reference to the appropriate section within the CHNA or implementation plan. If you would like a copy of an implementation plan, please provide your name and contact information (including preference for email or mail delivery) and the name of the hospital you are requesting. Please provide the same information if you are requesting a hard copy of a CHNA. All copies will be mailed free of charge. For questions, please call 216-844-2391.
